Estimate your take-home pay

Enter annual employment pay before tax. You will see an annualised estimate of Income Tax, employee National Insurance and net pay.

Your salary or employment pay before deductions. Do not include dividends or self-employed profit.

Where do you live for Income Tax purposes?

Scottish rates apply if HMRC treats you as a Scottish taxpayer.

Your salary is used only to calculate this result. It is not added to a lead record or analytics event.

Assumptions and exclusions

This is an annual estimate for an employee using the standard Personal Allowance and National Insurance category A. It assumes employment pay is your only income.

It does not include pension contributions, salary sacrifice, student loans, benefits, a non-standard tax code, irregular-pay effects or earlier PAYE deductions. National Insurance is annualised; payroll normally calculates it for each pay period.

How to understand your result

The calculator content must explain the result breakdown, applicable period, rounding, assumptions, exclusions and the primary sources used by its versioned tax table.
