UK Tax Hero is being rebuilt so tax information and calculators work across devices, browsers and different ways of navigating. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA as a practical design and testing benchmark.
What the rebuilt experience supports
- Keyboard access with a visible focus indicator and an Escape key route out of the mobile menu.
- Responsive reflow from 320 pixels wide without page-level horizontal scrolling.
- Text zoom, readable colour contrast, semantic headings and labelled calculator controls.
- Reduced-motion preferences and touch targets designed for mobile use.
Current limitations
The rebuild is still replacing older WordPress-builder pages. Some legacy pages or third-party controls may be less consistent than the native theme, and tax tables can require horizontal scrolling on the narrowest screens so their column relationships remain understandable. We do not claim full conformance while that work continues.
